About Us
Renbe UK was founded in 2022 by Sarah and her husband Jason. It started with a beauty therapist's problem, not a marketing brief.
Sarah's been working as a Beauty Therapist on real skin since 2009, first with other brands and then in her own salon in Bedfordshire, which opened in December 2018. Along the way she kept running into the same two problems: cotton pads that never felt like they cleaned properly, and face cloths that needed washing at 60 degrees after every single use.
It started with an Elemis cleansing balm that came with a free face cloth. Sarah loved it, until she noticed she was leaving it damp by the sink for days, sometimes weeks, before it got a proper wash. In the meantime she went back to cotton pads, but never felt they really cleaned her skin as well as the cloth had. A washable bamboo pad seemed like a middle ground, until it flared the eczema up around her eyes instead.
The idea came to her on a dog walk: something disposable, with the coverage of a cloth and none of the washing a cloth needs. She sourced her own manufacturer and landed on bamboo, soft enough for sensitive skin and kind to the planet too. That's how the Flawless Face Towels came to be, and Renbe became the first brand to bring a disposable face towel to the UK.
The name has its own story. Renbe comes from Ren B, the room at The Shard in London where Sarah and Jason got married. Jason suggested it, and it stuck, right down to the soft, considered colours you'll see across the brand today.
Renbe is still run by Sarah from Bedfordshire, alongside the salon she works in every week. Every product has to clear the same bar the towel did: would she actually use this on a client. If not, it doesn't get made.
If you've been putting up with damp cloths by the sink, or working through pile after pile of cotton pads, see what a box of Flawless Face Towels can do for your routine.
